Suicidal Foot 4.0 - Hell Break
This blog contains five years worth of rants and babbles. It is not for the faint hearted, nor the nosy, nor for the narrow minded. It does not discriminate sex nor religious preferences. It loves you because nobody ever will. All hail Suicidal Foot! All hail the drama queen who writes, and her little servant boy!

REVIEW: Gigahertz SM North Edsa.

I have been longing for the Asus Google Nexus 7 2nd Gen for a month now. The fact that it's being pulled out from stores to make way for the HTC Nexus 9 makes it more valuable. I have been looking for the 32GB Nexus 7 around SM North Edsa for two weeks, and I've only seen two stores. It was really frustrating when the day came that I would buy one, and the stores weren't selling them anymore. Still, I chanced upon Gigahertz and miraculously, they have one last stock.

It wasn't a new unit, it was already opened. I was going to point it out but I was too excited to have my hands on it. It was a little disappointing tho that it was starting up really slow and the kuya had to force shut down and restart just to make it work. I was already having second thoughts on buying an opened unit. I tried to check the unit, but the store didn't have internet connection. It wasn't lagging, since there were only the preloaded apps, and no internet to update the operating system. Since it was already late, we just bought it. I told myself to just check it our when I got home.

I updated the OS from 12MN-3AM. I was able to update it to Kitkat 4.4.4 when I started downloading apps like Twitter, Tumblr, KakaoTalk, and so on. It was when I open an app that it suddenly just crashed.  I started restarting it, but it was on loop on the Google logo. I did several factory resets but nothing happened. I came to the conclusion that it was a defective unit. I decided to consult online sources, but it being an "old" nexus, it's microsite has been taken down by Google.

So, anyway, I went back to Gigahertz after my 4PM class. I told them I was returning the unit and that I wanted my money back. They asked why, and I explained that the unit was defective. They asked someone to try to fix it first, told me that I can get a new unit in a few hours, if only I could just sit down. So, I did. I patiently waited, but I didn't have a Nexus 7 at the end of the day. Other branches don't have the model I bought. I told them, well then, give me back my money. They said they can't because it still need to be approved. Approved by what? In what case can it be disapproved? Surely, I should get my money back since, well obviously, I wasn't able to get my money's worth. They told me that the policy is first, try to change the unit, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE IT, so, maybe you can buy something else of the same price, BUT I DON'T WANT TO. I am buying an Asus Google Nexus 7, 32GB because it is now being pulled out from the market. I payed for it, and that's what I want. Why are they telling me what to get for my money? So, they told me to calm the shit down and promised that they will call their supplier and promised that I will get my unit within the week.

What has Gigahertz SM North Edsa violated?
1. It is printed on the receipt that there is an outright 7 day return/exchange for defective units. Which can not be according to RA 7394 Consumer Act of the Philippines.
2. It is the choice of the buyer if he/she wants a refund or an exchange. The store can not insist that they exchange the unit. RA 7394.

I am just really disappointed that most stores insist they make money. And I am quite disappointed that because of this, most Filipinos would think they don't have the right to return or exchange defective goods.

Nevertheless, I just want my Nexus 7 on Thursday as they promised. And whether or not I get it, I will make sure to file a complaint in DTI.

UPDATE.

Just a personal update on me. Because I love talking about myself, a flaw I share with every human being born to a modern world.

I have finally shifted into a course and college! I am now taking up Bachelor of Public Administration in the National College of Public Administration and Governance. I honestly applied blindly, not knowing what it is about. But, I'm glad I got in and that I signed with them. B. PA is a pre-law, so, I might actually end up taking law after all. Unfortunately, I am accustomed to reading fiction and writing nonsense; the total opposite of what we do in B PA. My classes are all theoretical this sem, all readings heavy, I might explode in any minute. But, so far, so good, I'm actively participating and enjoying my classes.

I would love to rant about why I did not get into Geology, or Clothing Technology. But the downward spiral of the quality of education in UP might be enough explanation for some colleges desperate moves of "keeping the delinquents out". And I'll leave it at that.

There's really nothing else I can say about myself. I've been planning to talk about DotA but someone else beat me to it, so I just gave up. Haha.

Some sensible posts soon!

Right Now.

So, I just got my laptop back! I will try to be active online again!

ATM Twitter, Ask.fm, and Tumblr are open in other tabs. I'm trying to catch up. Not that two or three people are looking at SuicidalFoot everyday, though.
Anyway, my laptop also lacks a lot of programs. That screen cap was saved in paint. Oh God. What has life come to. I don't have WinRar, Photoshop, and I'm not sure what else. It'll take some time 'til my laptop is back forreals.

Anyway, I got rejected in Clothing Tech. Like last year, I got rejected in Geol. So, I'm thinking of quitting school and just go hobo.

I've been reading and watching a lot. Don't want to get into any details as of now...

But, srsly, I don't know what else to do with my life. I try my best to go straight and the universe fucks it.

I'll post better soon. Okbye.

do better.

It was a weird sem, last sem was.
I've heard from most people that it had been their worst sem (so far). It was, too, for me. I was forced to go Non-Maj, it was a billion times harder to get classes, I had a 5:30-7PM WF class, and... well, I could list all the fuck-up's and, yet, it was actually the best sem I've ever had, too.

When I got the Geol 40 class, I was (though, still am) really determined to do good with the sem. I took it as a sign from God, that He is finally giving me what I want and that I have to do my best not to fuck it up.

I had lesser missed and late classes. I would actually study earlier than the night before the exam. I read ahead the lectures, most of the times. I read notes, if applicable. I was, in a sense, being a better me. I was, finally, studying.

I guess that's the reason I felt so stressed. Because, though I wasn't hoping for uno's, I was hoping to get better grades... anything is better than what I've had before, anyway.

I did study. I did get better grades. I did dream.

Yet, I still failed to get what I want.

There is no such thing as "work hard and you'll get what you want." Life is just luck.

I seem to be unlucky.

I keep a suicide note.

I have a suicide note which I used to update every month (or as much as needed). My last update was November.

I'm not sure if you people know, but, I do think of suicide.

It's not about how big your problem is, it's about how small you're feeling when you receive the problem.

'Yung mga instances na naalala kong magpakamatay, 'yung unang bagsak ko, Math 17. Gusto ko na talagang mamatay nun. Alam kong magaling ako, alam kong kaya ko naman. Pero, hindi kasi ako pumapasok, kaya bumagsak ako. Hindi ko tinuloy kasi gusto kong imurder yung prof ko. At, seryoso 'yun.

Marami pang iba, actually.

It's hard to say goodbye.

to my hs schoolmate, friend, kapakapatid, Geo

Sabi mo nag-date kayo. Tas nahalikan mo sya. Tinawanan na naman kita. Sabi ko masyado kang nagmamadali. Pero, sige lang, kasi masaya ka naman. Kaya masaya na rin ako.

Tapos naging kayo na. At alam kong masaya ka talaga.

Paano nga ba tayo natigil magkatext?

Ah.

Gusto kitang pagalitan ngayon. Pero, I also feel so sorry for you. I'm sorry that you felt that it was the only way out for you.

Alam mo, masama yun. Masama mag-give up. Pero, pag may nawala, kahit by old age, ang hirap pa rin tanggapin. Lahat kami apektado. Lahat kami may pagkukulang sayo.

Yung hindi ka na namin makikita til we reach our own time? Sobrang hirap talaga.

Geo, I know na there should have been a better world for you. I'm sorry you are no longer here to be in it.

Return.

By Delfin Mercado

At one point in our lives, we hope,we wish for something to return. A feeting moment, a memorable night out, a valuable device. Or a person.
When we yearn for things, or people, to return, what we really want is to turn backtime, to relive a particular moment, to stopthe clock and relish with delight a wonderful memory. But when things do return, when relished moments happen again, we do not simply relive the moment – we create new memories, and subsequently, albeit unintentionally, we rewrite the past.
The concept of reoccurrence, of return, is perhaps just wishful thinking. There aremany opportunities that only open once, many events that cannot be repeated, manythings that cannot be fixed or replaced, and people whose return are impossible.
And the implausibility of return of ten times closes our minds to the possibility of the impossible; not letting us see that there remains a fraction of a chance forreappearance. Once deemed impossible, the practicality of the situation overwhelms us, and convinces us to simply shrug off all remaining possibilities and move on.
Such state of mind is the cause of surprise, or in graver instances, shock. For if things we deemed impossible would happen, if people who we thought we lost would reappear, our minds cannot readily accept such incident, for it challenges facts that we have already established in our systems and breaks down the truth that we have learned toaccept and believe in for so long.
That’s how I felt when you returned. You were like the early monsoon rains, anunbelievable occurrence in the sweltering tropical summer. You returned. Out ofnowhere, without prior notice.
“Hello,” you greeted, in your usual uncanny self, with your wide grin spanning the width of your weather-stained face– a face that I have long yearned for. For amoment, I was not able to talk. Is this real, Iasked myself. You kept on grinning.
It has been exactly a year and a half since I last saw you, in the dark streets of Manila, after watching a film in one of the rundown movie houses in the inner city. After that, youdisappeared. No goodbyes, and not even asingle piece of information since that day.
For some months, I tried searching. But I failed to fnd any clues leading to you. By the fourth month, I gave up. And I let youslide into the back of my head, along withall the renegade nights we spent together. And now, out of nowhere, here youstand, recounting to me all the bizarre adventures you have had this past year.I cannot concentrate on what you were saying, as your chapped lips and your distinct new accent confused me.
“And what do you do now?” you asked.
“I write a column,” I said. And you fell silent. In that silence, I realized what was wrong. You cannot just return for you have no roomin my life anymore. Or so I think. I gave out aloud sigh and told you I have a bus to catch.
Be careful what you wish for, I said tomyself, as I walked past you, and past the lamppost that cast an eerie yellow glow to your sunburnt skin.

Student Council Elections.

Every student has the freedom to run during the elections. But, since we're in UP, we are smart enough to ask ourselves if we're capable of having a position. We won't just suddenly think, AHA! I will run this elections as the chairperson, have nothing else to do, anyway.

Heart Diño, a pretty transgender, is the new University Student Council Chairperson. The Vice-Chairperson is another pretty face, Alex Castro, bisexual. Oh, and the prettiest face of Alyansa, Pat Bringas is now a councilor. Did I forget to mention Pat is short for Patrick?

People are making a fuzz about the USC being too full of LGBT. Why discriminate? We are all but human beings, with feelings.

Iba ang skills and talents ng isang tunay na lalake from a lesbian? Pero, sa USC, I don't think so. PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT SKILLS AND TRAITS AND TALENTS. Hindi naman 'yan "set of talents" for men, women, gay, lesbians, transgenders. Iba naman talaga talents ko from another female. LABO LANG MEHN.

Chan said something that caught my attention kanina. "Sarili nya nga kaya nyang baguhin," meaning Pat Bringas. Tapos, naalala ko bigla. Oo nga naman. If you can start with yourself, then you can change a bigger picture. LIKE P.Noy Aquino, he can't change his smoking habbit, he can't change the Philippines for the better.

My point is, it's too early to judge. Each candidate was given the chance for equal time to campaign. Everyone in seat are the voters fault. If you didn't vote, 'wag magreklamo. If the one you vote for didn't one, eh, ano ngayon? Democratic tayo. UP has already chosen it's new set of leaders. Deal with it.

Para sa mga napakalakas ng loob mag-sabi ng "impeachment" at such an early stage, think about this: Life is a complete learning process. You are born with just three skills: eat, shit, breathe. You weren't asked to walk on the first hour, so don't set limits on other people as well. When we were born, our parents, the doctors, didn't tell you RIGHT AWAY what we'd have to be when we grow up.

Do not judge something you don't know. Let's all give ourselves a chance: for the new Chair, a chance to serve the iskolars of Diliman; and for us, the chance to appreciate what the new Chair is willing to offer.

High School.

Just recently, someone asked me: What is your favorite year in high school?

When talking about this with high school classmates / batchmates, we tell each other memories. Oh, how wonderful that is, right?

It's awkward for me. I stay connected with my friends from my first high school. I spend more time with my batchmates from Pisay.

When with eMeMeX, there will always, always be those who say they love their first year. And when people start sharing this and that, I'm just like, "OH, I liked that, too. I remember it completely." Tho, friends have shared a lot from their first year, it will never be the same as being there with them. I will never understand it the way they did, I will never remember it the way they saw it.

When I'm with my first year friends, FdC, the same thing happens. They talk about prom, those field trips, and the people they from this and that summit, and... I don't know these events the way they knew them. I have to cope up more with them, since I missed three years with them. It's hard for me, since in that three years, some of them went different ways and shit (like I did). I don't have four-years-worth of memories to share with them. I barely have ten months. Still those few months are full of laughter and meaning.

I am never really a part of any batch. :/ I love both, of course. It's just sad I couldn't spend the same amount of time with both.

So, anyway, what's my favorite year? I'd say it's the first, in Ilocos Sur National High School. I may have hated the school, and the faculty, but I love the people that turned out to be true friends. It was in my first year that I first learned that I can not magically be good at everything. I have to work hard if I want to be good at something. It was in my first year when I learned to make real friends, those I can and am willing to keep. It was then when I tried rebelling, and lying was my number one skill. It was then that I learned my right and wrong in this kind of society. It was then when I knew so much of what I wanted in life. I was sure of everything I ever wanted.

This post is not meant to hate.

Pisay is great for me, too. But, maybe since I spent more time there, I remember more bad things. I had so much time to hate people (and I don't mean the faculty). I had so much time in Pisay to be mean and believe that I was just being honest. When I wonder why I'm living a life I never thought of before, I think it's Pisay's fault. Pero, syempre, may fault din ako. No hate. I srsly believe I just spent too much time in Pisay, kaya hindi maganda ang feeling ko towards it... siguro.

Pisay was bearable because of the friends I still have up to these days, and the days still to come.

Can't buy me love*.

by Delfin Mercado
It is the time of the year - when juniors and seniors in high school mingle with each other and dance the night away in awkwardly-tailored suits and dresses; when couples and would-be couples flock into fancy restaurants, the guys buying bouquets of roses while the ladies reward their suitors or partners with approving smiles, a card in one hand and a box of chocolates or expensive jewellery  clutched on the other.

Valentine's Day is perhaps one of the most overrated celebrations in the country, second only to Christmas. It is ironic, however, that a nation engulfed in spiralling poverty is engrossed in such a senseless festivity. People spend precious resources to express their supposed affection to their loved ones, seemingly trying to compensate for days when love just cannot be accommodated.

Just the other day, you wished that everyday should become Valentine's Day. It simply cannot be. At a time when bulk of the population is either toiling in sweatshops or searching endlessly for jobs or a few pesos to get by, there isn't just enough time or resources to "love" every single day.

For in this maddening world of consumerism, everything has already been commodified - even affection. To love is to buy. To love is to spend. To love is to consume. We put value, price tags on everything. Thus, we simply cannot afford "loving" daily.

We students in the university will disagree to this notion - cloistered inside the academe, we have the luxury of time to relish romantic thoughts and hallucinate on the concept of affection. However, just around the corner, on the fringes of our everyday realities, there is no room for romance - thoughts, dreams and aspirations are swamped by the mechanical workload.

Mankind has reached such sordid state of affairs where even emotions are dictated by the market. Just as everything else, love has become a scarce resource that is available to only those who can afford it. For those who can't, what remains are tacky greeting cards and overpriced flowers that are actually compensatory gifts for the lack of real affection.

We have been rendered numb by the system that has not only taken away from us the value of love, but its very concept, a system that installed in its place a kitsch that we blindly celebrate on Valentine's Day.

No, it's not a cause for celebration.

Theta Epsilon @ 38.

I am Lor, batch head of 11D, now Lady Herald of Theta Epsilon Sorority. I may be a part of the baby batch, but I am an active member. As much as possible, I finish everything I have to do to be able to help with Sorority work.

Theta Epsilon, even from the very start, seems so perfect for me. It's really hard to explain things that should be kept low profile. So, as of now, just take my word for it. This sisterhood is perfect for me. :)

Helping other people is never easy. We have to plan it, put it to paper, look for money / sponsors, put it to paper, and finally execute the plan. We are but students, too. We are busy with acads, family matters, friends. Still, we make everything work. We were able to have the blood letting activity and the outreach program.

Being in a sorority has its advantages. First of, it gets in your resume. Second, you get to experience the wealth of the alumni. No kidding. And, well, of course, the undeniable good memories made with the brods and sisses. :) Memories of working together, simple chit-chats, and going through drama together.

Sis Inah, my high school senior, thank you for inviting me into this exclusive circle. Congratulations for being the Lady Keeper of the Whip.

Mommy Cams, then LKW, thank you for convincing me to join. Thank you for telling me to never give up. Thank you for telling me to always follow my heart. :) I love you still.

Bossang Cherry, kahit ilang ulit n'yo akong sinindak para lang maibigay 'yung gusto mong iparating - show your worth - Thank you. My loyalty is forever yours.

Lia, my batchmate, now Lady Keeper of the Scroll, my partner in crime (forever and ever), I love you. :) Sums it all.

My other batchmates, Mai, Van, Amery, Chel, and Ienne, sisses, let's all give back to the sorority. :) Let's work together. Let's make more lives easier, let's spread more laughter. :) I love you~!

HAPPY 38th YEARS, UP THETA EPSILON SORORITY!
Truth and Enlightenment through service to all.

P.S.

Thank you, aTheng Connie, founder, for the jacket~! :)

TLDR.

Or this, or that? Iba kasi kapag trust at faith 'yung issue.

I might have, siguro about something stupid and irrelevant with life. It's ironic, actually, knowing that he's a blabbermouth.

And, well, nung nagawa n'ya ngang isabay ako sa ibang babae n'ya, nawala lahat ng trust ko sakanya. 'Yung tipong, "there's a lie in there, somewhere," every single time he tells me something. He exaggerates things, over-reacts, and well, he's selfish, too. Lying to him is like breathing. I should just nod and say okay. That's how my mind worked during those times.

IDK how I got past that stage. Maybe, just maybe, it's love. LOL. Ang cheesy, shit! Shoot me now! :)))

It's faith. Faith in this relationship. I want to believe that this is it. Yey~!) I want to believe that, even if we failed to start this right, we'll have to end this right: together at the altar.

It's faith. Faith in him. I want to believe him when he tells me he loves me. I want to believe that we really will make everything okay. I want to believe that all this shit, every little drama, is just me over-reacting. I want to hear every "I love you" and chills will run down my spine. I want to read every "I love you" and a brand new smile will find my face. I want to feel every hug and every kiss, and know that he really loves me.

I don't like you lying to me. I don't want you to pretend. So, please, tell me everything. I know, it takes time, but I'll trust you completely again someday. For someone who rushed into a relationship, who am I to demand time, right? WRONG. I get what I want, and that's time. Time for you to spoil me more... SELFISH? Haha. :))

Also... Maybe I have my guards up too high for a girl who's demands keep coming in... But, you know, all the hassle is worth it, right?

Nostalgia.

They say we miss the past because we're not quite happy of the present, or we don't see a promising future.

I have been going back to the past lately. And by lately, I mean every time I get the chance since midterms last sem. I'm trying to look for the exact time that I lose track of what I really want in life.

Right now, I'm going with the flow. Acads' fine, social life's fine... But, then what?

I know there was a time I was so sure of what I want in life. I had it all figured out, mapped, planned. All I had to do is tick off every goal I finish. But, I'm not getting anywhere. My heart is not happy with what I'm doing. I don't feel that this is what I want to do.

I don't want to be a Physicist anymore. I like Physics. I love the thrill, the chase, the challenge. But. I'm too scared, I'm fragile. I can only be rejected once. I just... can't... anymore.

Actually, I'm too scared for anything and everything right now. I don't have the confidence to be an Engineer, either. I don't know what I want to be. I don't think I want to be this way: Studying Sciences and Maths, and shit. Why? Why this? Did I srsly wanted this to be my life? I want to go back in time and slap myself. Why?

My heart does not belong here. But, what can I do? I can't back down now, can I? I'll just mindlessly go with this shit of a "future" I planned. I was so naive, believing I'd get to love the things the world wanted me to love.

:D Haha. Bitter..

Why do you always find your way into my blog?

Dahil ba, gustong-gusto kita noon, feeling mo, gustong-gusto pa rin kita ngayon? Dahil ba, lagi-lagi kitang pinapanuod noon (actually, pati ngayon), feeling mo, gustong-gusto pa rin kita?

Oh, wait. Ex-girlfriend pala.

ETCHOS.

Wala na namang magawa. Wala kasing ma-post na hindi masyadong controversial. HAHAHAHA.

Point is, no means no, unless stated otherwise. Whuuut? :)))

There are things I can't seem to learn: Patience and Trust.

People mistake my lack of creativity of giving up and letting go as patience. There have been a lot of times that I just want to say "it's enough", but I can't think of a way to express it. Then there are times that I make up my mind, I'm sure I want to end something, other things come up and won't let me to. 'Yun bang tipong, hindi ka pala pwedeng mag-give up. Kasi 'yun ang sabi ng society, or ng religion, or ng parents mo, or ng friends mo... And so I pretend to enjoy whatever's there. Then it becomes a "part" of normal life. I just ignore it.

Trust. I don't trust people completely. There's always a part on me that says, "baka gaguhin ka rin n'yan." Still, I'm the type of person that gives everything 'til I'm sure it's wrong to do so.
I started doubting when I told the truth and was accused of lying. It might have happened several times, but, one too many cases. It escalated when I lied and got away with it. Why is everybody trying to complicate everything?

The rain makes me think too much.

“People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you’re fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly.”

I have so much in my mind RN.

Parang gusto ko ng isipin that life is not fair at all... :|

ARGH. I just hate hate hate those people right now. :((

When a tree falls down and no one's there to hear it, it still did make a sound. Law of conservation of energy. Sinabi ko na to dati, diba? Bat ba ang kukulit nyo? Kung nangyari, kahit hindi mo ipagsabi. Nangyari yun.

Wala na bang natirang may konsensya?

I don't know what to think anymore... I'm doubting every f-ing thing and everyone.
